At this level, learners should be able to deal with almost anything, with the sole reservation that there will be some errors in grammar and vocabulary. In AL & Dialog, learners will be encountering run-on and fragmented sentences with meaning sometimes implied, rather than directly stated. They should be able to understand normal conversational English that is disrupted by a back and forth between participants. In our courseware for this level, there is a strong focus on the language for talking about global problems, especially related to health and contagious diseases.
